If you’re looking for a place to sip wine that has a rather central location, enjoy an early evening aperitivo at Signorvino. This is actually a chain, with a second Milan location opening up in Via Dante. The original, however, is directly behind the Duomo. One may shy away from a drink in a place that’s Duomo-adjacent, but don’t worry, you won’t find much of a tourist trap and those exorbitant prices that tend to accompany it. Though you won’t be able to escape the crowds here due to its location.

Instead, what you’ll find is a wide variety of decently priced wine and an aperitivo that’s brought to the table consisting of a few things to nibble on: taralli, a few slices of mortadella and something sott’olio like eggplant or sundried tomatoes. Of course if you’re still feeling quite hungry, their list of meats may do the trick, or you may just have to stay for dinner, which is an option as well. And if you want to take some of that delicious wine with you, feel free to shop around.
